Its still cant be as big as an early falcon radiator as I couldn't fit the twin Ford fans on it. That's why I had to go the 10 inch for the second fan.Charlescrown wrote:That is a bloody big radiator. Talk about overkill in the olden days.

you should look into the ford mondeo twin thermos!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Yes I seen them come up a lot when I was searching for thermo fan options
Re: 265 Hemi to efi
I took it for a drive yesterday at 34 degrees and it performed the best so far with the turbo water cooling connected in hot temps but it still got hot at the top of a long steepish hill. It was fine on the flat sitting on about 86 degrees. There could be a problem with the radiator itself and I need to get it checked and cleaned out before making any conclusions or I could just get the 3 core aluminium big block radiator from the US which should fit straight in. Alternatively I could disconnect the turbo water cooling.

Personally i would take the radiator to a Radiator specialist and have it Rodded, cleaned and pressure tested. There could be a problem with the radiator itself and I need to get it checked and cleaned out before making any conclusions
Or alternatively redo the test drive with the turbo water cooling disconnected and make a discussion based on the results from that test.

Agree with both of you but its only a two core radiator, the heavy duty val ones are three core so rather than throwing away a couple of hundred on fixing this one I have got new 3 core aluminium 26" radiator coming. I just have to accept that this is Adelaide and it gets freaking hot in summer.
