I was just going off this:

and assumed it was much the same process as for the Pulsars.

re: throttle bodies, I think the Camira has a smallish oval shaped TB. Here's a Pulsar and commodore TB, you can see there's a pretty big size difference:

re: wiring harness colour differences - the Camira wiring colours are described here and the Pulsar/Astra version is here.

The Pulsar is way too small. Go for the VN it's a nice size for your engine.
Got me thinking on the ECU location. I do know the pulsar is under the seat.

I once had a pulsar loom and god it was long. Was long enough for 202 in a kingswood.
Nissan ran a vacuum line through the loom as well not sure what for.

Yea I agree they are very long. I just cut one down to fit one of my cars.
The more I think about it the Camira is not under the seat it's behind the kick panel making it a better choice. Maybe someone might enlighten us.

The JE Camira wiring diagram shows it in the dash area, doesn't really matter but it would save me unbolting the seat.

I know on the JD camira it was on the firewall to the passenger side of the Trans tunnel so JE is most likely to be the same.

Good day today, picked the mint ECM loom out of this JE Camira including all relays , senders (except exhaust oxygen sensor as that was not coming out for anyone), sensors and coil for a whole $33. Also grabbed the fan relay and wiring loom for the rear fuel pumps as far as the dash.

This is the donor car and it was very clean inside and out and I only got really got my hands dirty taking out the coil as the distributor must have been leaking oil. I reckon I was the first person to take anything off this car.

Question, is the VN V8 throttle body similar to the V6 but just bigger? I assume it is bigger. My thinking is that the 265 hemi is a 4.3 litre, the V6 is a 3.8, the V8 5.0 litres so its kind of in the middle. There are thousands of the V6 throttle body but the V8 would be harder to get and probably pricey so I am quite happy to go with a V6 throttle body if it will keep up.
Cheers

That's a steal at that price good work! The V8 throttle body is identical just the bore size. 60mm V6 65mm V8.
I guess if you fit a V8 one straight up no need to worry about it.

Or get a V6 one and have it modified to 69mm! Most places do them on an exchange set up.
