Ecu login code

Post by johnyp »

Hi to all.
I own an opel astra x14xe 1999 and was wondering of how can i find ecu login code of an z14xel ecu.
What i need is to write to the z14xel ecu the firmware of the x14xe cause my car after the ecu change consumes a lot of gasoline!
Can i do it from obd port?

Thank you

I am not familiar with your ECU but have you had a look at Galletto. It list a few Opel ECU's and if yours is one of them you can read/write but I have no idea of the code. I think you may need a checksum corrector of you use this software to change anything in the program.

Thanks for the reply, my ecu is supported by carprog and is obdII.
I don't need to write to it just find the pin and then flash with tech2.
Just wondering if there is any free solution with an elm or k-line adapter.
