Re: Delco on 2JZGE?
If it's a earlier engine it won't have vvti and will run a single coil with igniter box external.
Re: Delco on 2JZGE?
Thanks for the input guys!
VS SS is correct, I have the earlier non VVT-I engine with an electronic dizzy and igniter unit. This, I think makes it a bit easier.
In the VS wiring diagram I notice the ECU is using a single crank sensor, and a single cam sensor. Would it make sense for me to fit a crank sensor? Or is it easier to work with the cam sensor that I've already got?
The turbo version of my engine has a crank sensor, which can be fitted to my engine if I replace the oil pump and fit the trigger wheel. But that's an expensive way to get a crank sensor on my engine.

Re: Delco on 2JZGE?
Good news you have the earlier engine.
If you plan to use the 808 or the later 8192 ecu you won't need to use a cam sensor as this ecu type does not cater for one, they don't run sequential fuel injection. But thats fine.
The VS wiring diagram you are looking at is probably the VS V6 Ecotec engine which uses a cam sensor and MAF sensor. Not the ecu I would use.

Re: Delco on 2JZGE?
Thanks Kojab.
I'll forget about the VS wiring diagram then.
So I would use the 808 ECU without a cam or crank sensor?
Also, just to confirm, the 808 is intended for use with high impedance injectors correct?
If so that will work nicely, as all the injectors I have here are high impedance.
Cheers
Brady

Re: Delco on 2JZGE?
Forget the VS diagram, injectors wont be a drama, you must run a crank sensor.
Hope that helps
BTW awsome job on the conversion

According to chemistry, alcohol is a solution...
Re: Delco on 2JZGE?
Thanks Biggvl! Sounds good.
Re: Delco on 2JZGE?
Not sure how the delco will be compatible with 24 pulses but can always run one of VL400's module with the cam sensor as well and get sequential spark with some LS2 coils. Would be awesome.
