Why do I have rev limit at 6000RPM?

Post by BARBS »

Hi all,

Can you guys please shed some light for me?
I am running a 424 with $11p on my 186 holden turbo injected running about 9PSI boostatm..
On the dyno today it basically lost everything at 6000 RPM similar to a rev limiter and I cant see why? I am running a ignition module from VL400 and have attached my tune and associated XDF for the ecu and the ignition. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The AFR did not move off 11.6 as commanded so I really don't know if it has cut fuel or spark but it as nearly a dead stop.
Could it just be my spark tables are not right?

Thanks in advance

First issue here .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewt ... 965#p81965

This will need a retune as what you have it set for will be messing up lots of things.

Got a log of when the cut happens?

Got that one sorted now thanks for your help.
I don't have a log of it unfortunately. I was simply clearing the history, doing a run and adjusting the tune as needed.
Ill be back on the dyno in a few weeks due to work commitments etc. and can do a log then but hoping there was something clear in there that you can see.

Im pretty sure I found my issue with regards to this. I had a PPK constant of 0.024 and a tyre roll out of 1.906m. At 6000rpm this gave me approx 235km/h VSS. My high speed fuel cut off was at 210 and I was limited to around 5500-6000 on the dyno the other day. All is sorted now so will see how I go next time.

MAP sensor config is rectified also cheers mate.
