Ledgends,
I need help setting up a speed sensor on my Bundera - it’s got a 304 with a vp ecu n loom
I need to fit a speed sensor onto cable drive off Toyota gearbox.
I was told I needed to find out how many pulses I needed for the VP ecu?
Can anyone confirm this for me please? Am I on the right track?
Also does the vp setup require 3 wires for speed sensor???
Thanks

This is what I’m talking about.. do I need to convert the signal to suit the vp ecu?

that sensor should be fine, you can adjust the pulses per km in the tune to suit the differences in your driveline.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Help with speed sensor conversion
I used a Marks 4WD Adapter VSS convertor on a cable speedo 1990 Hilux running a GMH V6 & VT ECU.
From memory it was pretty easy to set up. Was just scanning with Tuner Pro & adjust their box until the Cable speedo reading & the VSS readout on the TP where very close to one another.

Hey humpty if you're interested I have a brand new custom made 1foot long speedo cable to suit supra 5speed to Commodore manual speed sensor that I brought to use but changed direction.
I can post it to you for $80 if you want it?
