Ls1 data info

Post by Chodda1985 »

Gday,

I have recently dropped an LS1 into my VK commodore.
I was hoping there would be a way to monitor engine data via a tablet and app?
I am trying to avoid putting aftermarket gauges everywhere if possible.
I was speaking to a colleague recently who has an app called ALDLdroide an it displays data from the older delco units.
Any one heard of any for the LS1 units??
Many thanks

yeah, its just obd2, there are a lot more apps.

I grabbed this list of apps from a generic ebay interface. The original elm327 clones work on android, most of them dont work on apple. The newer devices with the STN chip in them (a legit non-cloned chip) should work on apple and android. Genuine obdlink devices are best, and you can use it with pcmhammer or lsdroid to flash your pcm too.

Compatibility: Android / iOS

I should add that some of those apps do not apply to the ls1 (VPW protocol). I'd recommend torque and dashcommand.

Hi all;

ALDLDroid also has OBD2 monitoring capability.
I have played around with it a bit. I much prefer Torque Pro.
Have also been playing a bit with Real Dash. Still prefer Torque Pro!
