Nissan SR20 Engine

Post by heff0018 »

Hi all, I picked up one of these engines just because it was cheap. Will this be a suitable candidate for a 808 conversion? I don’t have any plans for it yet but read that these engines will take up to 450hp in stock form so a turbo is definitely the go. Maybe put it into an old rear wheel drive chassis like a 180b coupe or similar. Cheers

I’m am thinking that I can run a Camira loom, 808, custom trigger wheel, Delco DIS and custom inlet manifold with VN throttle body.

Thanks for the replies and confirmation. Cheers

I pressure tested the cylinders and there was no leak down so it’s a good starting point.

are the fwd engines a different bellhousing pattern to the rwd engines? from vague memory they were.
