The1's Daily
Re: The1's Daily
depends on fuel economy, the power is the same really, atm it's reading about 3L/100 more. im interested in summer performance though will it keep the performance up over pulp when temps get hot?
Not sure if i mentioned it before but i used a fluke meter to measure the surface temp of the headers at the heads, 98ron ran around 190c, E85 ran around 160c so def cooler

Re: The1's Daily
Last time I was near an E85 bowser was probably 6 month's ago in melbourne and it was slightly dearer than 98.
Re: The1's Daily
i think E85 holds well though, last year when pulp fuel skyrocketed E85 was still at $1.20 as it's made here just up the road and costs havn't changed.
Re: The1's Daily
A mate of mine has a drag car. He's just spent about $1k converting it to E85 from some fancy ass petrol. Something like 110 octane and oxygenated at around $4 a litre I think. Payback there in itself plus other benefits from the E85 too.
Re: The1's Daily
im sure E85 has higher RON than some of the old "race fuels"

speaking of which. When we had the VH on the dyno and it wasn't tuned yet the exhaust gases where ice cold lol, like actually cold cold, colder than the air around it.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

In melbourne on our way back from sandown last year must of been around September when the supercars were there. Was near Albert park area it was a united. Every chance I'm wrong but pretty sure it was as I was sort of looking forward to stopping there to see it.

Dont move to Perth then!!vlad01 wrote:where was that? I have never seen it cost more than 91
Current cheapest price of U91 is 104.3 and E85 is 127.9. Source: http://www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au/fuelwatc ... /home.jspx
Oil price is low so unleaded is nice and cheap, corn price must be high at the moment. Makes it very unattractive for anyone not using it for the extra go.

Yep, every time I've brought it (a lot lately) its been about $1.25, about the same as 98... I buy from Taylors Lakes united
According to chemistry, alcohol is a solution...
