It was a open diff before so I never had one. I don't think I want to spoil it either making it look like it has the factory cone type, that be misleading as it far better than that garbage lol

Finally got my decals. Also some custom protective disks for the bonnet and boot rubber stops to prevent them rubbing though the paint.

Jack done! compared to one of the other best spares I got.

Finally a series 2 VP with white bumper moulds turned up. 1st one since 2015 that had one as that was the last one that was available to be raided.

The bumper in fact was in super good nick and same colour as the run about VP which it's rear is a bit sad. Win win!

Made up the foam harness tape and wrapped it up.

Pulled out my rebuilt dash from years ago and decided to go over it again with proper matched vinyl dye as per 23i steel blue.

Much fucking around but eventually got the harness in the correct position and clipped in.

Tested out flex in the plastic and movement in the wiring to tease out rattles and squeaks and found a couple of wires I needed to add foam to as well and what a difference it makes, noises gone!

I also had previously tweaked the front metal frame to better fit and put less stress on the plastic tabs that usually break, I also packed out any they had a gap with fiber washers and also added them under the screw heads. Screws were only just pinched up to be super careful not to stress the plastic. Very brittle this shit is.

No idea, maybe the supercharged ones did? I saw it and just got it as a nice touch to the build. Ideally premium only decal would be better.

What do you think the whole heater box/fan assembly would weigh?
