Vlad's rides thread
Re: Vlad's rides thread
What do you want to know ? It's pretty simple to do, the H4 ones in the Q were just $80 eBay cheapies, the calais ones cost $300 as they have 4 globes instead of only 2 in the Q and I bought them in a Sunday at autobahn as I'd blown a globe and wasn't paying $90 just for shitty halogens

Re: Vlad's rides thread
Sorry for the shit pic.
Got the last wire today and finished the bulk of the loom. Has about 50% of the wiring replaced, bunch of new connectors and terminals, WB support, knock sensor delete, serial data line for use with ALDL cable, USCAR type injector connectors which are yet to be added on which will be done on the engine to get the correct positions and lengths. The pigtails for them are already done.
Pretty happy with the results.

You noticed the rug but completely missed the lack of reference.

You want to give Vlad reference? Lol,
Sure I can see a Melbourne Bitter can on the rug, it just blends in like the wiring loom

Re: Vlad's rides thread
car has been painted but not cut and polished yet, going for an inspection tomorrow to sus it out.
Also big news! 3D scanning and modeling of the C pillar moulds have been completed and now the files are with a industrial 3D printing company to make some high res prototypes to test fit.
If that all sweet, they will then go to another company to do the final metal 3D printing. Have opted for that instead of CNC matching as they are a cunt of a shape and will cost a shit ton due to the way it needs to be setup to machine all the way around without fucking up the part. There is no real suitable area on the part to stage from that can be cleaned up latter with ease without it not being stable.
So 3D metal printing is the perfect application for such a part.

Re: Vlad's rides thread
Holmart managed to find the driver side door handles buried under long forgotten pile of stuff so I bought them today, completing a full set of VP black handles.
Also got the final stuff ready for fine media blasting and e-coating. There is a fair bit there to do, but will be well worth it.
