These hoses aren't available new, aftermarket or genuine and the fittings are obscure but can be reused with new ferrules and new rubber hose.
Contact Portland laser (south west victoria) I use them at work almost daily. They supply material, courier out same or next day, I email scribble on a note pad and they sort it out from there. Well priced too.

Then I fixed up the bashed in floor drain plug. Looks like someone went over a rock, the plug was missing from when I got the car.

I used 2 big washer and bolted them together to flatten the metal, then used a big bolt and hammer to knock the washers down on one side until it was all level with the rest of them.

I also knocked down a bump near the rear cross-member until it was more of less the same as the other side. Cleaned off all the loose deadener, prep'd it and primer, and coat of touch up paint of the same colour. When I get a chance I will spray on new deadener once I also get a plug from somewhere.

While I was at it I cleaned the entire cabin and wiped down all the dusty surfaces and wiring. I plan to wrap them in 3mm soft urethane foam to cushion them and make it hopefully rattle free

Carpet finally dried.

I masked off the heel pad and gave the slightly faded areas a very light dusting in matched vinyl dye and it came up like new.

And a few other spots on the rear tunnel too.

And then this happen. Holy shit the finished was unreal. I found the perfect combo. Glass bead blast and e-coat. There is no evidence of ever blasting it once e-coated, totally smooth. Fuck chemical stripping!

IMG_2575.JPG

And the last of the zinc plating ( said that 100 times before  ), even got the jack done for decoration. I don't use those shit jacks. Speaking of which where the fuck are my stickers for the jack, I ordered then 2 months ago!

Also!

Sorting them out and then bagging them up as kits.

Special bag! oooh got to accessorise these days

Had a lot of dramas trying to get the metal parts zinc plated. Some of the metal reacted weird and made a mess of stuff and destroying the levels, so I stripped some spares and blasted the later type shafts and bits from the red VP and rust bulleted the shit out of it, not after having my gun block up 3 times! :wall:

Anyway, long story I got it sorted and the finish the final attempt came out awesome!

Finally started putting it back together and by the end of the day...

Some little improvements here and there. like actually greasing the mechanics with teflon grease and taping down cables and what not to make it more quiet.

All has been checked and tested except the motor but I know its a good one so no dramas there. Even got a NOS fan resistor of the later type that has a heat sink unlike the shit coils of wire that burn out eventually and the genuine replacement ones sold now don't fit without a lot of mods even though its the same manufacture. :?:

Suspect they don't make the right one anymore and substitute it with a she'll be right model.

Yeah they all crack, they are a pillow actually. Like a wool pad encased in 2 sheets of deadener and then the lot adhered to the floor. If I can find some tar I can melt and pour over the cracks I would but chances of finding that these days??

Cheers for that  I'll email them now and see if they can accept SVG, otherwise I need to covert the format.

Amazing some of the little gems still out there. Blown away by the condition of this VN.

Got the HVAC in.

IMG_2593.JPG

Heater core fits good though the firewall despite the upper support bracket not used as I reckon by how far its out there they probably never designed it to use it, keeping the pipe bends much more simplified is what I see, just needed to connect the 2 vac and fit the remaining duct.

IMG_2597.JPG

Installed the pedal box. Cunt of a job, even with everything out like it is.

IMG_2599.JPG

Finished off with accelerator pedal and made up the front vent seal and glued it on.

IMG_2620.JPG

Swapped the diff cover and bits to the ones that are e-coated, used some nice ARP screws. For some reason the first cover started to rust even though it was bare metal, epoxy etch primed and epoxy paint. Maybe there was some small rust spot remaining that started the re-rusting? Who knows but now its can't as its e-coat now
