I got a tip for you.The1 wrote:haha, well yeh ill do all the mods i can money permitting.
Slight leak in intake manifold gaskets, so going to throw a new set of alloy ones in so it's done. Pulled the lid off the plenum and oh my, EGR does make a mess, will be disabling that in the tune! Manifold gaskets were starting to crack in the rear ports as usual. The plenum casting has quite a fair bit of crap left in it so cleaning it up before it goes back on. Will also port match throttlebody.
Any alloy parts or steel with no paint for the mater. put on some paint stripper and hose off. takes every bit of grease, varnish and oil off in an instant.

Re: Mrs The1 VX Berlina Wagon
Tried the paint stripper this arvo, after 5 goes got the LIM pretty clean, was chockers, works better than industrial degreaser, Just have to clean the side of the heads up tomorrow night after work and start putting it back together. Port matched the stock throttle body and cleaned up all the casting marks and smoothed it a bit. Will have to do another WOT log after it done.
