i have a briggs on my mower and it is a good thing it is the industrial commercial model so cast iron bore was my dads before mine and it always starts first pull and has the orignal sparkplug from 1983 worn down to almost a nub on the earth strap lol.

ive got a hotted up briggs in my ride on, wore out, so did a rebuild, ported the block (its the early flat head) and put the head on the mill, and took maybe abit to much of it, goes alot better than the rated 12hp that it was, oh and the governor spring maybe have been played with
why have one 202, when you can have 12 and counting, 30+ car graveyard just for fun aswell

I got 3 motors at home. one old 8hp single on a ride on, goes ok but has some intermittent carby issue I can't work out. another 3.5hp push mower, about 15 years old. still goes but isn't healthy sounding, bent crank.

Another one about 5 years old with with 18hp twin, rebuilt 2 years ago, wore out after 50 hours at a guess.

Out best mower ironically in terms of usage and no oil consumption or issues is a cheap china knock off of a honda push mower we have now and the old victors we used to have back in the day were good.

Yeah the honda motors are by far the best these days.

beware some honda engines have plastic camshafts and timing belts that run in oil.... they are crap. the pushrod ones are bullet proof tho.
