Tinkers Rides rb30 to delco

Post by Tinker »

Well my project fell through due to having No money (But now have a son ;-) . I was really looking forward to tuning my engine with the Delco and Tunerpro/autoprom . So I started a test bench and trying to learn assembly and the programming side of things . ( should keep me busy!! LOL) .

So here's a Pic of my Ride!

Hi mate,My goal is to pickup a old VL rb30 ( you can still find a cheapish one) convert to delco/turbo and.....

lets just say I have heaps of plans, looking for a engine first just to experiment on.

Anyone have a rb30 sitting around ??

Welcome back, good to see you with the interest. Still on the first page of this thread and your son must be about 9 years old now! I dont have an RB30 on hand, but fitting the delco to it will be more work (custom trigger, hi impedance injectors, drill and tap a place for the MAT sensor). If you want to get in to the fun stuff quicker maybe you want a buick 3800 out of a VN, VP or VR. It'll have all the right stuff on it to begin with.

As for the site, were in it for the long haul. True social media has taken a lot of traffic away, but there is still a good community of like minded people here, and I think its easier to find historical information here with google than it is on the social media sites where it gets buried or isnt even indexed in the closed groups. Even though we dont write the latest software anymore you'll probably get good answers for almost any technical question where the answer is out there.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396
