Just get everything new and do it all at once. I did that to my vacationer back in 2010, new engine, manual conversion, new suspension, bushes, joints, brakes, new dash, new exhaust and extractors etc. Was like a new car when I did it all at once.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

yeah. the rear will be done that way VSH.
ie: remove k-frame. VY frame, not VX series one cambernater of death, reco 3.46 diff, bushes everywhere, rotors, rebuilt calipers, new driveshafts. etc. good until the zombie apocalypse.

fuck. aug 14, slack cunt. i havent been on here much due to working my asshole clean off, and, doing some retro computing shit.

anyway. to date while i am on forced contractor scumbag unpaid leave i have
1. replaced her VX 2002 Z bar bushes ; they were chopped out. noted that the engine mounts are fucked while i am under there. gareth i have a job for you, not doing that shit on the ground
2. i've swapped the doors and shit on the track car and started finishing off painting the rest of it ; and fixing dents

so there were some dents here
Image
then it got some paint on there
Image
then it got some CLEAR on there
Image
and then it started to look more silver
Image

just need some more silver bits. like bumpers and bonnet.

Is it just me, or is that 9 photos and no reference?
Looking good though, nearly Vlad spec, although will be interesting to see what it looks like after the first track day

and with clear

reference. remember i am a cheap root.

vlad spec - no chance. i didn't use acetone, although, my work does look better than the factory paint :) am on the lookout for some NOS stuff to ; might have to restore it though ;)

was only saying to a mate today has been a really good learning experience, to bare metal with 40 grit, then, up to 240, 360 then 800 and then primer hi fill paint and clear. i have some things to repair on my other VX which, isn't near as daunting now.
