Wow you got the engine well back. Is this going to be a circuit car? Also a question on the exhaust manifold. Is the pipe that seems to point towards the front apron for a wastegate mounting?

yeah the motor is about 1.5-2 inches back from the minimum it had to go back, either way required cutting the firewall so i figured, if im going to go to the trouble i may aswell get it right back so i can fit decent radiator and fans in plus will help with weight distribution .... no plans for circuit, mainly drag racing, but that said the Gemini saw a few hillclimb events so nothings out of the question :)

as for that pipe, yes wastegate, it fits in nicely!

i've had these for years and years ..... like probably 10-15 years..... way back when i am talking about it, i was buying VK EFI commodores for a few hundred dollars just to get the efi and motor etc .... and i was also raping them for things like steering columns and racks as i knew they were what was used to shorten for old holden conversions, and as it turns out most places that are doing it now are changeover!

that said i am planning to do the shortening of the housing myself, and i know a bloke at work who can shorten and respline the shaft for me, then all thats needed will be to make some mounting brackets for it.

This one is in dad FB Ute so i have a good reference :)
