you also do something similar with XP Falcon and XF brake conversions to stop the bump steer.

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
So i wasn't happy with the floor in the boot, i recessed it around the middle of the fuel tank to suit the sump of the tank, but it was shit and so i decided to make a new panel, halfway through that process i decided to lift the tank and have a flat floor, the advantage of this is that the floor actually meets up to the boot seal lip almost perfectly, so then i added some square tube to get the tank high enough, it also allowed me to move it towards the front of the car for some added room at the rear.
After the boot was sorted i decided to tackle the passenger side dog leg, it was fucked like the driver side, i have cut out most of the rust now, just got to start rebuilding it. I wanted to get this done as it needs to be done before i can finish sheeting the boot/4 link centre part
Its been good 1. get time to go out in the shed when its not hot and 2. time to actually work on the car

Well when you consider how much effort Holden went to to stop rust was zilch I am not surprised with what you uncovered.

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
well its more the shit repairs the previous owner did than the rust .... there is still some left which shows just how slack they were in the repairs, but its also the repair thats garbage, so i am resolving the issues so i can be confident its not going to fall apart when it launches the front wheels off the ground (hopefully)

I am sure it will launch the wheel off the ground.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
