The NCOP scheme is the guidelines for acceptable modifications. The only way to go outside the square so to speak is an individually constructed vehicle where your expected to demonstrate compliance with all the ADR's at the time of registration. Huge job and very expensive.

I'm thinking like you full on race car where you can do anything you like to the car. As you said it's already had quiet a few mods that are probably hard to turn back. I am surprised to see the value of these classics is quiet low compared to many other models like EH and Monaro so just go for it and make it a race track success.

"Harrops Howler" ran an 11.8 in the early 70's using a leaf springs & a ladder bar arrangement & was naturally aspirated.

Later this week I will be spending some time at my brothers place to put the guards and stuff on ready for transport to my place after Gunnedah drags.

I have a VQ 304 V8 with a Supra 5speed W55 under the tree that's looking for a home.

But man, that thing with an L67, auto and all would make a weapon of a cruiser.

Why race car?

well I am right into racing, and I would prefer an old car for a race car, its just something I've wanted to get for a very long time.
