i had 3.45 in the gemini when it ran a 10.54 and it was barely 6000rpm over the line, and i also now have a larger tyre, so figuring 4.11 will be close

Nice cover but the filler plug is very high. How do you determine the amount of oil in there? Do you just put in a specified amount?

I'm guessing you need to modify the bottom hole for VP housing since starting from VP they made the bottom hole an M10 drain plug bolt where as VN and prior were just the same 5/16th bolt as the rest of them like it is on the TA cover.

I got the diff slotted in for a test fit up so i could start working out the axle lengths i needed.
IMG_1427.jpg
I worked out the depths in the spool of the splines on each side and cut the axles to that length, this should allow me to slot these axles into the spool for testing as the diameter is too large for the splines, so i have 85mm between each and that will give me 40mm each side for splines. You can also see here the machined flats on the carrier bearing caps for the alloy back plate.

So i fitted up a wheel to see how it would look, and it seems i might have missed something in my calcs, its around 2.5 inch clearance (keep in mind there is no rubber on it yet) so it seems it might be about 1 inch too narrow! :/

So i plan to get the tyres swapped onto the new rims and get it sat on the ground with both guards on before i go any further, while it would be a pain in the ass i would prefer to start again with another diff housing than order $1000 worth of axles too short!
