in other news, I finally got to make the part I had planned to do before I had to rebuild the whole dog leg!

I didn't really want to do these in the first place, but theres no real other way to do it and still allow access into the 4 link adjustment bolts so this is what I decided on.

The tub is almost fully welded in now so its getting closer, I just need this fucking heat to piss off! I spent all of sunday arvo in the A/C waiting for a cool change, 35 degrees still at 11pm ..... *sigh*

Not that it gets anywhere as hot as what you guys see but I've been waiting till evening to do any work on cars of late, no red lobster for me and working conditions are much more comfortable which makes the job easier/faster as well.

the above picture was done on Saturday and it was I think 37 that day .... I've done a lot over my Chrissy hols in days like that, but on sunday when it was 44 or something that was just too hot for my liking!

Finished welding the front of the wheel tub together, its pretty hard to see but it needed to be hammered in about 5mm at the top left so the door would fully shut, good to finally have it done, now to do the same on the other side including all the rust repairs!

So as part of making sure all the stuff fit that's why I mounted the doors, first time since I've owned the car that its actually had doors on it! partly because they would have been in the way but mainly because I didn't have any screws for them till my big rare spares purchase

good to see it with doors finally.

I thought these doors were the best of what I had, turns out I might have been wrong, the two passenger side doors at least don't have any rust holes after buffing all the paint off them in the same spots, so hopefully with all the other doors I have I can find some good ones, or at least less work to repair.

The front door is probably not too bad, but this one is a big repair.

And this is another of the parts I needed to make clear the doors, the door is supposed to meet up to the right hand edge of the roll bar where its touching the dash, so I cut out a section in the frame side of the door, and then was able to just flatten it a bit to make it clear the cage, it should look ok when the door is open and clear when the door is shut.
