Is that LPG regulator an LG B2? If it is it is best in the horizontal position. Sitting like that one in the picture they get a sludge build up and it shortens the regs internal parts lifespan.

MAGP - yeah. Impco 425 and Aussie B2 converter - not reg. I know GRA mount the convertors flat but i thought it was because of pressure on the diaphragm?
are you suggesting to mount the the converter (not reg) horizontally?

Converter and regulator are the same thing just different name.
Yes a B2 is best fitted horizontally so the heavy ends flow out with the LPG into the engine to get burned off. When they are mounted like yours is, especially with the fuel outlet on the top side, the heavy ends get trapped and build up in the reg.
I always try, unless the manufacturer says otherwise, to mount them flat or with the vapour outlet at the bottom.
Some "light" reading for you http://www.rasoenterprises.com/index.ph ... -residuals
