Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
Glad to hear you're OK ...cars can be replaced..people can't...I'm with Toyhicko..looking into a fire extinguisher!!!...terrible to see so much hard work, effort and money go up in flames..both yours and Holden202's..but what is more important is that no-one was injured or worse... that would be tragic. ...
Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
I think it's one of those things you think will never happen to you i have had a fire extinguisher in the shed for years never got around to putting it in the car but i will be now,
same goes for the ignition module on the v8 i have a spare but it isn't in the car where it should be .
come to think of it i don't even think i have a spare tyre in the boot.

so far we found 0 damage after it serverly overheated on the skidpan after blowing a welsh plug.bearings are fine and reused pistons all cleaned reused didnt even pop them out the block rings are good checked for broken ones with feeler gauges headgaskets perfectly intact.only replacements have been the cam bearings due to the new turbo cam going in should net us another 10-20% more hp .heads are ready to strip for port matching and valve lap job should be all back in 1 peice later in the week.and the big beast for the HQ wagon build
