There are definitely changes in the springs. I've seen 3 different ones. One which was my original s1 VN, than one from a later model 3800 V6 and last the ecotec one.

Ecotec spring in a VN engine with 15w-40 oil gives awesome oil pressure :)

All mine are as the bottom pic, 66.3mm iirc. Even the VN s2 engines I had were the same as the "ecotec" springs.

I discovered that when I went to upgrade my springs in all my Buick engines only to be disappointed that there was nothing to upgrade as they were identical. I bought genuine holden ones as well as ZZP "high pressure upgrade" All the same except the ZZP had a smaller washer as a spacer. Maybe it was factory change they did early on and just used left over stock in the mix that ended up in some engines. Maybe NZ got all the crap left overs lol

Nahh, the 2 replacement springs I got came from aussie.

We get over 5bar hot idle normally after the spring change was a good jump in psi over stock hopefully fire her up tonight I'll see what the pressure is cold and hot on the fresh build .quick run to temperature can cool over night for a retorque then fit the manifolds and exhaust out out tuning for the weekend

sounds nice, hoping mine will sound similar with its 109.5º LSA

109lsa will be far grumpier this is only a little cam 222@0.050 112 or 113 lsa

I reckon it will be similar as mine only has 212 at 50 so the overlap from yours to mine wont be too far off
