ARGO's just up the road from me!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

No, Argo rods are right there with Carrillo rods, so in the top 2 rod makers in the world.
Argo id definitely what I will be using for my next engine since Carrillo don't have any knowledge or specs on the rods they did make in the formula holden days. So rather than dealing with people overseas and starting from scrath, Argo already have rods for the Buick, except I would have them altered for 23mm press fit pins than the ecotec sized clip in style.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

They looked into it, none of the people who were involved then work any more and apparently none of the designs/specs were passed on from old to new people (lost as they say)
They had no clue about press pins either and said I would need to work out the interference specs for them The rods they made back then were a press fit. Mahle sill make the pistons for those engines and its still a press fit as it was 30 years ago.
I'd go for Argo any day since argo been making rods for multi 1000 hp racing boats for like forever. I can tell you water craft have a much harder time than a vehicle, know that one from experience lol.
