I have ended up asking for a lot of help on the forum to get my project done. I figured I would post some information on what I am actually driving. I have appreciated all of the help delcowizzid and others have provided. This was my first EFI conversion. I am from the united states from Washington state specifically. I got my 1972 camaro about 4.5 years ago. My project has been coming along very slowly. The car was beat hard and nothing was taken care of at all on it. I have replaced every suspension part on the car, replaced the engine, transmission, wiring, etc. My goal for it has been to have something nice to cruise along in. It is quicker than a lot of cars on the street but it is by no means what I consider to be fast. It was originally and automatic car. I converted it to a rare manual transmission here in the united states. Manuals are more fun to drive. The manual transmission I put in it was a NP440. A light duty 4 speed truck transmission from the 80s. Basically a Chrysler A833 transmission with a specific Chevy main case, bell housing, ect. What makes it special is 4th gear is overdrive. The gearing is almost the same as the 700r4 automatic transmission. I will put a link below on info on it if anyone wants to read it. I wanted to convert to EFI. I have a stock 350 rebuilt engine from an autoparts store. Its is nothing special probably makes 200HP. So I did a lot of research and I noticed a trend happening. Aftermarket EFI and late model LS engines have becoming a lot more popular. This has driven down prices of the Camaro, Firebird, Corvette tuned port EFI systems down here in the states where I live a lot. I got a painted tuned port intake with all of the parts, a butchered wiring harness, and a 165 ECU for $200. It was a pretty good deal. I just had to fix the wiring harness. In my research I found that I could use a MAP sensor with OSE12P and 12P was compatible with my 165 ECU. So I worked on it until I got it running pretty well. This was my first EFI conversion so I hit quite a few bumps but got it all figured out.
