chuff you need the flashtool to read the write the cal to it and use tunerpro to configure it / save the bin. i've been trying with hq355 to get his working for a little now.
i have PDF doco of it i can send over to you too if it helps? drop me a PM with your email address.

Gday Chuff, I’m just catching up on this thread.

On my Dodge Ute I used the original fuel tank intake as the Return and drilled and fitted 1/2” bundy tube into the round plate which mounts the sender for the intake. This connects to a electric lift pump which goes to a surge tank and then a Bosch 044. The vk valiant models also ran plastic fuel lines which were non existent so these were replaced with 5/16 bundy tube for the return from the regulator and 3/8 bundy tube to the fuel rail.
You might be able to do something similar in your Escort to keep the fuel cool.

Regarding the ignition, in the meantime you could just trigger the MSD using the white Wire (I’m pretty sure this is right) from the ignition module. I ran mine like this for a long time.

The Escort will be a weapon once you get it up and running. Good luck.

Fuel systems pretty well sorted out. I just need to add a return line to the tank and that's it. Won't need a surge tank as the fuel tank is vertical and feeds out the bottom. Most Escort EFI conversions using this style of tank are done the same way.

Original plastic fuel lines will be replaced with hardlines.

Pump is the original Camira external Bosch pump which is the same as a VL Commodore pump.

The photo I posted was supplied by the previous owner of the VL400 ignition module. The MSD unit is his, not mine.

Another question as I put this puzzle together.

I need a sensor for Crank Angle Position and Vehicle Speed for the 808 ECU. From what I've read it should be a Hall Effect Sensor. Could someone please confirm that the sensor I am looking at getting is suitable.

It's a Cherry GS100701 sensor below:

I'm not sure if there's anything specific I should take into consideration with regards to such a sensor, so any advise on the pro & cons of this, or any other similar sensor, would be appreciated.

That it incorrect. The Crank sensors for the American modules are reluctor. I have used commodore ABS sensors from the wreckers on 4 an 6 cyl projects.

I need to update the thread for my gemini, but here is a sneak preview:

Note that we found the notches in the trigger wheel here were too fine, they should be 10 degrees wide. There was a missfire above 3krpm as pictured, and I opened the notches up a little wider and now its working great. This is with the D1927a 4 cyl module from the states.

The speed sensor is also reluctor.

For speed sensor you want hall effect, 808 does not support reluctor.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
