It has run a 7.79 on the 1/8th. He had it on the rollers last year, it made 224hp at the tyres, but the operator backed off as it started to run lean, it's been fitted with a bigger pump since then but hasn't been tested since. Should be back on the rollers soon.
The T5 had the same km's as the engine, but broke a selector fork several months ago. When it was pulled apart the syncro rings were u/s, so he has fitted another box. the car is less than a 1000kg, so that helps the box last longer.
Thanks for moving the pics.

thats not bad, should be more in it without leaning in the top end!

so does the extra injector work on boost only or all the time ? .... probably really needs 2 more injectors for methanol.

The extra injector is activated from a micro switch at about 1/4 to 1/2 throttle. It has 2 extra injectors (which it needed with the old pump), but doesn't run lean with one now that the pump can supply enough fuel.

It's been a while since I've updated here, to many projects going.
A S2 engine has been fitted as the S1 was getting tired, after a leak down test I found that it had 40/50% loss, mainly past the 350000km+ exhaust valves. We done some port work on the S2 engine, mainly clean up in the exhaust. After a few runs we found water leaking from the left exhaust :o . It has been fitted with seats at some time & looks like they are the wrong one's cracking below the seat of the inlet on #3 cyl. The heads were removed from the S1 engine, ports tidied up, (as the ports are smaller in the bowl area in the S1) fit the valves from the S2 heads etc. He also has purchased a set of 60lb Siemens injectors, so no more drilled injectors. I've now played with tune to suit the new injectors, just need to check it under load before he uses it in anger. :driving:
