Re: My Delcoed Rides
yeah if nothing else its the one you want to blown up for R&D and not the forged motor!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: My Delcoed Rides
makes me want to turbo the 202 corona ive got, rough as, piece of 2in pipe across the front for a rad support, old cargo barrier as a grill, welded diff, no interior, boat tank, great paddock basher,
why have one 202, when you can have 12 and counting, 30+ car graveyard just for fun aswell

Re: My Delcoed Rides
So we've run 22 passes over the 1/8 with this motor and a best of 7.4sec .... Scotty had planned to go to Gunnedah a few weeks ago but it didn't work out, so we went for option two, see how much this $100 special made on the dyno!
we had a lot of issues with the auto wanting to kick back and also the convert is way to big for the cam in this motor, but non the less we wanted to see what it did
managed a best of 220hp at wheels and with 5 pulls a worst of 208hp (that was me running the car)
you can also hear in this run, it just starts to miss at the end, that's th 6500rpm spark cut hehe ... way over the stock cams power range.

the interesting part is this thing has very good low down torque which was pretty flat till about mid run where it started to drop off, whereas my previous combo in this car had more torque but gradually dropped as rpm when up. (but revved more and made 366hp)
anyways add another 5 dyno pulls to the 22 passes and its looking like about $3.70 per run so far hahaha!
on the down side I forgot to take my serial to usb cable so we couldn't log
