16206304 and less important 1623019 from poland

Post by gabriel0 »

From the last few days i'm trying to find any information about my 16206304 that was used in FSO polonez ('89-'96) TBI 700 injection known as just GLI and abimex (important till the '96 because after was bosch system), with stupid spark module which is burning all the time and costs thousands, and then was 16238019 with Multipoint('98-'02) known as GSI and multec (less important for now because i dont have a car to test it).
16206304
16206304
16298019
16298019
I didnt check 16238019 for now, because i dont have a car like this or cables.

It starts from that all polonez users have so much problems with diagnose this cars, because there is only one program that works only on MS-DOS and COM port. Nobody has it these days. There is no source code to modify it. Data stream looks similar to A001 but it is not the same with few words (bytes).

I found few informations about transmisions speed like 160 baud and 8192 baud, and it looks like 16206304 ECM should works with both, so i have got ecm with cables in my room, and i checked it on oscilloscope, and there is no 8192 transmission with any resistor combination on A+B.
There is only 160 transmission at 10k. No answer at 3.9, and shorted. At shorted i can only check malf-s on check engine light.

Today i'll try to read EPROM, and i'll post it here.

I saw that tere is NVRAM modification for it, but i'm not really interested because of the price. TBI system in our cars is really fragile because of ignition module, and nobody really want to modify it. The only solution is to use old ignition device to avoid problems.

So my questions are.
>I just saw that its similar ecm like 5 on the end, and 16183082. Does they have working 8192 without memcal modification?
>How can i run 8192 baud?
>Can i connect wideband o2 signal 0-5v directly to ecu after software(memcal) modification?
>Can it be modified to use 3bar map-sensor?

Probably i will have more questions, but for now i just forgot.

Now fun facts.
Car was produced from '78, and those days was known as outdated.
If somebody is interested how engine with TBI 700 looks like.

And yeah. Engine is from fiat 125. in '78 oil main was modified from semi-flow oil filter and rotation oil filter to more actual standards. Somewhere around 89 it starts to have 1.6 from 1.5 cylinders capacity. In '89 on export to holland it had TBI 700, but in country it starts to have it more often from '93. In '97 was modified to hydraulic valve adjustment and all engines was known as camshafts-eaters. In '98 starts to have multipoint injection (multec xm) but it was also not so popular. More often was GLI bosch injection which has almost 30 horsepower in my opinion.
So construction known from late '50 was produced through 50 years with no serious modification. I'm so proud.

Have a nice day. :driving:

And i forgot. It was probably 4 types of 16206304 (not sure about numbers because 3 of them are realy rare and almost all doesnt have any numbers)
1.5 Without o2 , with o2
1.6 Without o2 and with o2(most popular)

Readed from 1.6 with o2 on TL866 as 27c256. Not sure if its good.

Does the serial data line connect to U2 (64606)?
If so, it would seem that the hardware can support 8192 baud rate. Maybe the program on the memcal does not support the 8192 baud data rate.
The chipset seems to be the same as an '808, albeit different layout, but you have the "high speed" serial chip installed (which is not fitted to the '808 see below).

The chips even have the same designators!

I found pictures look like the same ecm in this post viewtopic.php?f=7&t=14&p=9545&hilit=16206305+vs#p9838

32k bytes BIN file i posted is not too small for this ecm? I think it should be 27c256 in there?
Yeah it is connected. resistance 10ohm.

32kb sounds potentially right. If you have the equipment it might be worth trying ose 12p on it, its possible it might just work if the ICs are the same, the memory mapping might be too. Ill look at the bin when im on a pc. If it is the same as our 8192 models ypu need to know the ecm id and request a mode 1 packet from it with a properly formed aldl request to get a response.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

Yeah you're correct it looks almost identical to a '305 (i just didn't have one on hand to check).
That chip size should be correct.

So where can i find ecm id? So 8192 is 2-way communication? I though that it is just like one way 160, so thats obvious i cannot get any signal from it on oscilloscope if i dont send request to ecm. What program i need to use to connect it? I have aldl cable and com port in my pc.

Send the aldl data frame "F4,57,01,00,B4" and see if you get a response

I'm not sure how to do it. I dont have any experience with it. What program use to send it?

And about 16238019 anyone know what this thing can be? Is there any similar ECM?
