VX/VU ute, no key

Post by psyolent »

Friend is getting a VU ute in. its got no key, so, he has to get a new key coded etc.
Is there a way to code a brand new key to the BCM without using tech2, or is it a Holden only job?
Cheers,

I know a lot of scan tools can do a copy but with no key I think it may be Holden only. I will be interested myself if there is another way.

Most aftermarket scan tools will do it

So Bigvl your saying you don't need one original key. Interesting to see that.

No, Not at all, I use my Gscan for new key replacement on all early commodores.

As for the copy Tech2, I have no experience, sorry.
