Is my vats turned off in universal patcher?

i cant seem to figure out how to compare my original bin to the vats turned off. I was told that this bin had vats off but the car is acting the same. Its a 2004 grand am gt with a 2003 se bcm in it. I changed the vin in the pcm to match that of the se's and still no crank and security light on.

I decided to do a read first and it did sucessfully but after it informed me that there is no xdf file for my pcm and that if i wrote to the pcm then it would be corrupted. So what do i do? I know that i cannot personally write an xdf at my skill level. So there lies the issue?

What reminded you there is no xdf and writing this would corrupt your PCM ??

You do not listen very well, there is no need of an XDF except to modify the binary (.bin), it has been modified another way, thus no XDF needed!

Write the damn bin I uploaded and try it, I'm not about to tell you to do something that will knowingly corrupt your PCM ...

You have been told all of this several times, it seems you do not listen!

lsdroid through obdx was telling me this, I guess out of precaution idk. It seems everyone is looking for their xdf and figured i needed to also to make it work. I'll head out there now and try it but i don't believe it'll work. I think i need to go the factory route and install the correct bcm out of a gt. I'm pretty sure the se bcm just won't allow a gt pcm to be in there. But i'll try the bin

it started for 3 seconds and then died. Before it wouldn't even crank. So something happened with the vats...also the security light went out completely. Theres no option for a relearn with it not blinking.

Yea, people do look for XDF's, and when told the bad news they quit ... Mostly before Universal Patcher or because they know TunerPro and not UP, UP is challenging, I agree, it's very powerful, that brings daunting complexity.

I am not a Tuner, I am just a wannbe coder, I just took and educated guess, it may or may not work, but it will do no harm!

Somewhere on here recently kur4o posted how to turn off VATS (or VTD to some) in UP, I cannot find it ... DO NOT PM kur4o asking him, if he wants to respond allow him to do so, don't pester him.

What I have done is in the first one,

VTD present on car - removed check mark

In the second one,

VTD injector disable time - set to Zero

As stated, I am making educated guesses ...

Pretty sure someone will slap me if I am wrong, at least I hope so!

it did the same thing, i have to remove and do it on the bench everytime and reinstall lol
