Nitro’s Home Made Hydroplane
Put the spanners and welders down for a bit and tried my hand at a bit of woodwork.
Some 6mm marine ply from bunnings and about 6 litres of epoxy and microsphere filler, some brass nails and other odds and sods and a few tins of nescafe 43 later, I emerged from my shed VICTORIOUS!! With this UNSINKABLE 8ft long, 4 ft wide, MASTERPIECE!!!
Heres a few build pics:

Whacked a 15hp merc on there and got it registered.
Fun little boat, does 50km/hr and shes definitely a wet, wild ride in rough chop.
The Bow is airtight and the port and starboard sides of cockpit are also airtight separate chambers. You can fill the entire cockpit with water and still drive it.

I’ve got a Yamato331 racing motor coming over from Japan in August for it. She should be good for about 110km/hr then. Give a few of these jetski and inboards a bit of a run for their money

That's badass ...
