yes i see some axles in the vb's future i might even pull one before the drags in case LOL.i see you have a commodore just like ours with a tweaked floorpan mount for the suspension arms couldnt do a straight burnout if we tried and are starting to turn sideways on the launch
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Well I thought I'd give the thing a birthday and see if we could fix the small problem that made the car go sideways in the burnout. Found a flogged out lower control arm bush so I swapped out all the bushes for Nolathane. So now we have a new problem. NO TRACTION WHATSOEVER! So now comes the next phase were we start getting serious about the suspension.

easiest way to make a commi hook lower it till the bottom arms parrelell to the ground at rest

Check you pinion angle.

I have also heard others with spools complain with nolathane type bushes fitted. Try some rubber bushes in the top arms maybe. It will allow the suspension to move a bit and not be so hard on the axles. Spools will always find the weak spot in the suspension.

If your real keen on making it handle, fit some true rear coil overs, ditch the factory lower arm and fit some proper tubular arms and new diff brackets which will allow you to get your suspension angles correct (instant centre) like delco mentioned. I think McDonald Bro's do a kit, if you can find a picture you may be able to copy it as the kit isn't cheap.

edit: I think Delco might have some pics of a similar setup using a BW diff in his project car.

pro9 do tube lowers and uppers for commi to allow for wider tyres where they would normally scrub on the arms look a little budget though looks like the saddle is made of 3 peices welded together ide prefer one peice folded myself allows big wheels and can straighten the rear and set pinion angle but that wont change the hook of the car without moving top arm mounting holes

whats a race car doing with grooved tyres ;) put full slicks on it ;)

radials wont have as much give in the sideway like a full slick, may help a bit with cushioning the launch too!

Do you mean move the top mounts on the diff?
