Mamba's wifes Holden EK & VZ Berlina
These are the photos of my wifes reconditioned EK....I only know that it had an original red 6, replaced by a blue 6 then a chevy engine
The car was originally intened for racing but proved too heavy and was eventually used as a show car appearing in local newspapers..
The sale of the car was forced and upsets my wife to this day
Unfortunately the new owner crashed the car and it was totalled....

Re: Mamba's wifes pride & joy Holden EK
nice!! shame it was written off!
only thing that detracts from that car in my opinion is the ford rims!

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Mamba's wifes pride & joy Holden EK
haha...the ford rims came with the car and my wife just told me that she had hoped no-one would notice ...underestimates the company I keep...she never got around to changing them...went on to say how she ended up losing both a husband and a car...still mourns the loss of the car...(what can I say??)......

Re: Mamba's wifes Holden EK & VZ Berlina
This is my wifes 2006 VZ Holden Berlina Wagon….
It is an ex Dept of Health (Gold Coast) vehicle with factory optioned everything….leather, tinting, tow hitch etc etc and remains totally stock..
and very cramped alloytec engine bay..
manufacturers don’t seem to consider the poor auto tech who has to work on these engines, almost requires the engine to be dropped out to be accessed..
It is a daily drive accumulating more than 70,000kms and has only developed two problems, a self locking door (solenoid) and minor transmission problem…. (not serviced correctly).....go holden!!!

F@#KING horses!
do yourself a favour, go down to holden and order a strut brace and 4 nuts for it.
best $70 you'll ever spend on the car!

Re: Mamba's wifes Holden EK & VZ Berlina
haha...pinstriping isn't everyones cup of tea....and thanks for the tip....actually this car is the epitome of the economic downturn costing the same at auction (even with all the bells and whistles) in 2008 as my stock standard, no frills exec in 1997.....it even came with the balance of the new car warranty....both problems appeared after the warranty ended of course but they were minor and I can't complain...the downturn hit the automotive industry hard and would have been lousy for those working in it...hope it all improves soon....
I didn't include interior pics of the exec as it is well worn, the dashboard broken by an airconditioning repairer and roof lining that is currently lining everything but the roof!!
