Yes you could, on computers which directly control the injection timing. The1 has done it as his EOI (end of injection timing) feature here viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2518
The cam signal is cam position, and does not cover the angles on the lobes so what the timing sees doesnt change. You'd need to add code to apply extra timing offsets to the injection calculations in addition to the output triggering the cam VVT.
