Yep. And in that pic kojab posted can see the flash in the top left. Can make out AM... so its an Amd something... of 2mb size. kojab can you read and post that number? The pcms are an evolution. Motorola hc11 in the delcos, 68k in the ls1, and still 68k now. Somewhere along the line motorola became freescale.

Kojab's pics are from an E40 not an E38. E40 is 68k, E38 is MPC555(from memory).
You can see there are pads for 3 connectors where as an E38 only has 2

Where do I say the pics is from a E38?
You might be edjimakted but some times you have to read under the pics.

Yeah I got that, but its an ecosystem, and related. Filed under E40.

No need to take it personally, just pointing it out for people following the thread. Besides the first pic had no footnote.

A smile face ( ) at the end of my post means I did not take it personally. I am sorry that you are.

Geez, I leave this thread for 1 second and were already almost disassembling bins!antus wrote:Yep. And in that pic kojab posted can see the flash in the top left. If the E38 is a "MPC555", what do we do from here? Look up a disassembler for that chip type?
It would be my next step to poke around some routines and go from there.

Looks like MPC555 is PowerPC.
