PCM/ECM Identification

Post by MudDuck514 »

Hi all;

Does anyone have a listing of what PCM or ECM went with which motor and chassis?

I believe the P01 was used in 1999 to 2003 LS-based cars and trucks (and the 4.3l trucks, vans and suv), while the P59 was used in the same from 2004 to 2006 or so.

I THINK the P04 PCM was used in FWD V6 applications from 1999 or so until around 2005? And the P08 was used in the non-ecotec I4 cars?
Were the 2002 up ecotec motors used with the E37?
Can someone fill these in?
E40=
E37=
E38=
E55=
E67=

Thanks
Mike

If the OEM part number can be pulled, then you can check what that part number fits on dealer parts selling site. It might not be perfect, but if all part numbers are figured out, the whole vehicle fitment should be known then.

Like the P11 Serv 12576162 and my car had calibration 12571650, the part number online comes up as 19210073 and fits the following:

On ebay, when I search for 12576162, I see all of those vehicles popping up with different calibrations, so pretty sure that should mean they also have the same hardware (IAC driver etc since my car is DBC).

Having a proper list of vehicles and which ECU they come with, even if not hacked yet would be a handy reference table to have. I've been wanting to do similar for Toyota, but that's more related to harnesses and fitment validation.

E40 is 05-06 24x v8 engines. Gmt360 5.3l lh6 and 6.0l ls2, Corvette ls2 (05 only), 05-06 SSR ls2. These engines are like gen 4 except for 24x.
E38 was v8 NA engines 58x 07 and up, E67 58x v8 supercharged LSA and ls9. I believe they were used in 4 cyl and v6 but you'll have to Google that
