How to keep vpw gm mode AE active

I want to keep a mode AE test active without having to resend the request every 2-3seconds

Is this possible?

I made it work by fluke …

If I have a mongoose pro and tech 2 going
With obd 2 y and putty with elm327

If I request the mode AE test using tech 2
The Set the elm327 to match the tech 2 header
Then send the same mode AE message

Than it seems to stay active
!

Must be another way to do this!

Otherwise I need to hack to bcm and set the timer up more or AE tests

if not that than patching the OS for that AE function woud do it.
