help connecting with wifi eml327

Post by 04colyZQ8 »

I bought a elm327 wifi adapter is says to use static ip as 192.168.0.12 and mask of 255.255.255.0 and port 35000

I seem to kinda be able to connect with my iphone using elm327 terminal app however it seems so warp the commands or something strange

I send send..

>atz
then it says elm327v1.5
but atap2 does nothing

tried the windows elm app scanmaster that came with it.

windows 10 set wifi ip/tcp(4) to 192.168.0.12 gateway 255.255.255.0

and in the scan master WLAN protocol 192.168.0.12 port 35000

and click connect it says traget repeadly refused socket error 10062 my firewall is disabled

any ideas?

Well, ATAP2 isn't a valid command.. Are you trying to set the protocol? Maybe try ATSP2

as far as trying that software I have no idea, sorry..

If you consider that the V1.5 is NOT an "official" release, there MAY be some commands that don't work.
Try running an ELM ID app to see supported commands.

To use PuTTY with BlueTooth use a COM port, to use with WiFi use an IP address, don't know what port though, that is up to the device ...

For Android, I have used ELM 327 Checker and ELM327 Identifier.
Don't know what's available to test them on other platforms.

Finally got putty to connect a few times now it’s broken putty won’t let me type anything!!

First of the manual says 192.168.0.12

This is wrong it’s actually 192.168.0.10

Using putty Telnet disable m return
Disable auto warp
Force echo off
Set auto cr
Ip
192.168.0.10
Port 35000

Atz
Worked can works
But at ma doesn’t work
And at sp2 seems to not fully work
Sets protocol
At dp says vpw 1850
But at sh 6c 40 f0
3c 01

No connection

Some of them need a PCM to respond to a request for pid 01 to set the protocol. Is it connected to a VPW PCM?
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396
