Hi this is my First Post on the forum, ive been using 12p for a while now with and very happy with it. Im interested in the custom message 6 adx files for faster logging speed. I can connect to the car with the msg 6 adx file, but the data isnt right. ive read through the 12p advanced tuning pages about this section and im a bit lost with it all. I DONT have a NVRAM, my question is do i need one? Thanks Paul

You need to use the delco flash tool to configure the contents of message 6 to be the data items you want. It'll update you bin (on disk) and generate an adx to suit. Its up to you how you put that bin in the car, and be sure to use the matching adx.

I am using 12P and need to know how to set it for a manual transmission. The reason being I adjusted the desired idle speed for a manual to 1000rpm and when I did a log it showed it very different to what I set. It was around 750rpm. I looked at the auto setting for desired idle speed and it was the same as the log so I set that also to 1000rpm. As well in the log in the item list and the very last item says automatic transmission. How can I change it? Thanks in advance.

Looking at what poor wiring diagrams are left available on the net, yes it seems thats the case.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Yea that's for the starter operation but if you shift it into any gear but neutral and park then turn the ignition on the Ecu will say manual because that wire on b10 from the Ecu is grounded if you just cut that wire at the ecu plug it will be manual those diagrams are all a bit misleading there should be two dashed wires descriptors in there for the manual one to bypass the p/n switch and the missing wire from b10 to the p/n switch

Thanks Dazza. I had a look at my genuine VN workshop manual and yes that circuit is only used for the auto and yes it does get a little confusing but from what I gather if the ECU sees an earth on that terminal it then has input to the ISC motor and it also mentions VSS which I assume that's the diagnosis side with the auto trans inhibitor switch. I'll disconnect it and see what happens. Thanks again.
