The manifold vacuum referenced regulator maintains a constant pressure differential between the ends of the injector so that you get the same result each time they open. Running a fixed pressure at the feed end is not making it constant, its quite the opposite.
It works if the ECU code can handle it and correct the PWs. Some return less systems (LS1 for example) run this way with a fixed pressure regardless of the MAP so use an injector constant table instead of the single item found in 12P.

that being said I would think you have to make sure that your fixed pressure is high enough so that at max boost, the pressure across the injector is above the minimum pressure required for your injector. with 60 psi base pressure, at 15 psi boost your injector pressure will only be 45psi.....

ive heard of ls1 fuel systems being converted back to a normal return based system with a manifold referenced rising rate reg for ease of tuning on boosted applications.

can the 12p code handle a fixed fuel pressure?
What is PWs?

No, you will likely have the issue that holden202t mentioned with the VE table not going low enough at high vacuum areas. Just get a vacuum referenced pressure reg.

PW = pulse width.

It would be great if a second map could be easily coded in to take more consistent baro readings

There is only very limited RAM left so would only just (I think) be possible. You are the only person that has requested the feature, will add it to the list but will need some more interest for the final couple of bytes to be used for this function. The wideband is also using the input most suited to reading a second MAP sensor.

Do you set both MAP Sensor Type Selection A and B to true for 3bar?

both options un-ticked = 1 bar
only top option ticked = 2 bar
only bottom option ticked = 3 bar

Hi VL400 I am still looking at my options for an EFI with boost conversion in a gyrocopter
and i really like the $12p system, But would like constant baro update with maybe with a second MAP
Would you look at an update or an option for this for a donation to help with your time?
