yeah what he said, and yeah that should be all you need to do.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: OSE 11P V104
Thanks. Boy VL400 has done a fantastic job with this program.
I have to check my diff ratio. I believe that most VR V8's had a 3.08 but I have a suspicion this one might be a 2.78. need to crawl under the car and have a look at the tag. If that's the case I need to do the calcs and reset the VSS settings.

Never heard of a factory 2.78 but I guesss someone could of fitted it.
Re: OSE 11P V104
My old VR V8 was 3.08 and all the others I've seen were as well, dosnt mean it isn't standard or been changed

If the diff is different then to keep the electronic auto shift points and other things happy your better off leaving the trans ratio constant factory. While the PCM will read the wrong speed when logging you wont need to remap anything. You can change the engine ratio constant without causing problems. Holden actually did this with all models that had different diff ratios, left the PCM the same and just modified the dash calibration to read the correct speed.

Re: OSE 11P V104
Well I found out the diff ratio is 3.08.
This is a log I just took using 11P and it works great. Most will find the log a bit boring.
I did some tweaking with the horrible looking standard Ignition map and smoothed out the VE map as well as turning on the knock and adjusted the lean cruise that better represents my grandfather driving style.
Car is going very well with these settings but I haven't connected the wideband yet so I don't know if the fuel is on target.
One thing I would like to smooth out is the 1-2 upshift. It's a bit quick/jerky. I had the HSV program in before and it was a lot smoother than the std VR but I am not sure what settings I need to change. I did increase the 1-2 upshift point by another km/h.

Re: OSE 11P V104
looks alright, and the BLM's are showing only small percentage of fuelling change needed in the closed loop areas so thats pretty reasonable
for the shifts, you might want to play with force motor pressures or per gear pressure offsets

Ill look into those settings. Thanks. I did notice that it did knock at WOT so I pulled 3 degrees of timing at the top end and that fixed that.
I noticed that the knock count is permanently displaying 199 and I don't think that's correct. I would think that knock counts leads up to knock retard. Need to get VL400 to look into that one other than that the car now makes my flabby little cheeks roll back under full throttle.

Re: OSE 11P V104
I am very curious with the knock count I am getting. In the log I posted you can see it is constantly on 205 from startup all the way up to 9.29 minutes when it rises to 229 and you can see knock retard take place then at 9.30 minutes it drops down to 130 and remains constant for the rest of the drive. Can anyone explain to me what is happening.
