Updating 12P ver 111 to ver 112

Post by Charlescrown »

I am wanting to update my tune which is done with 12P ver 111 to ver 112. Can I simply open the bin file with Tunerpro and use the Ver 112 XDF, change my boost VE and boost multiplier tables and save it back as an updated version 112? or is there a lot more to it?

In the FAQ look for "Q. How do I update from one $12P version to another?"

Thanks for the advice but I am not using a nvram but a memcal fitted with a flash chip so I'm a little bit lost at this point. Is there another way?

I'd suggest, get your v1.11 tune, open it in tunerpro and compare to the stock BLCD or whatever the one was you started with, so you can see all the things changed, then open a second tuner pro instance (found under the tools menu -> custom tools -> new instance) and load the stock v1.12 bin file BLCD for example, then copy each item over that's been changed to make all the changes the same......

then save the v1.12 as your new file and burn it to the eeprom.

If you post your cal, I can merge it into a 112 bin for you to burn

Glad this is sorted, but for reference reading a 12p bin with the flashtool and using it to do the update does work the same on eprom/eeprom. Just need to burn/flash the resulting bin as you normally would for that device, cant directly upload like you can with nvram.

Couldn't you just use the Tunerpro difference tool, load your .bin file and compare to the original .bin file, bring up the ver 112 .bin file and then use the "copy selections from left to right" button?
