vx upwards dipstick should be higher by about the same deviation from full to add holds 1 extra litre
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Just compared our VX dipstick with my mates one from his VY engine and both have the exact same dipstick, same part number. Maybe the VY sump is different to hold the greater oil volume?

I think next time I'll put in the full 5 litres and remark the dipstick and see what happens.

I think vx is the same dipstick. you need to compare vt or vs to a vx/vy.

vy sump is the same capacity as the rest just different bellhousing lugs at the rest.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

There's a stronger ecotec sump to with braces cast in the bottom on the inside can't remember which model though

Are you talking about the 2 braces that go from side to side at the block flange? If yes I never seen one without those. All mine had that.

7 engines here.... all dipsticks measure the same..... 2 sump types ... VT VX VY ....

Does Accusump have a nitrogen charged bladder like a hydraulic accumulator,,?
or is it just a tank..?

i have read the delco tuning doc's ... but ... can anyone sugest what settings to tinker with to inprove iac response (dip and oversoot) ...
in the delco as it is closed loop but it does not exactly have a iac pid routine.... ????

The IAC response is pretty slow due to the mechanics of it, can play with the deadband and sag/stall saver modes to pull the RPM back to target. But on a vehicle the idle spark is used for fast changes when either above or below target idle speed. In your case you will need to have spark retarded from MBT for this to work though.
