$12p def file 2 bar v8 tune

Long time lurker and reader on here just setting up my vp v8 which will soon be turbo. Been looking at the $12 def file by vl400 and looks like a good def file. Does anyone have a tune running on a 2bar v8 holden turbo setup? if so any chance i could have a copy of your tune just to get me started off? I saw one guy on here has a turbo 355 running the $12 def file and that car flys. Even a supercharged 2 bar holden v8 $12 tune just to get me going

Jayme might be able to help you.... i know he is in the process of tuning a few of his mates turbo and supercharged 304's so once he gets them sorted he might have something for you.

Nice no hurry im just colecting bits for the conversion now got most of the bits tho and wanted to try the 2 bar tune in the car when it was still na but with my 2 bar map just to get it all 100% ready

im in the process of tuning 2 boosted v8's. neither are finished yet but will be happy to show you the cal once it is done.

if all you want to do it run your current car with a 2 bar map sensor, just tick the "Map A: MAP Sensor Type Selection A \ A:B Clear = 1Bar" flag and plug it in and drive off

you also need to think about injectors, this is the most important part. the stock injectors are just way too small. they run our of PW with just a cam let alone boosted. both of the projects I am wokring on are using siemens deka 60lb, what injectors do you plean to use?

its on straight lpg so i really just use the timing maps but one of a running car close to my setup will at least mean it runs half decent.

I have a gt35/40
external gate turbosmart 38mm
front mount cooler
3 inch exhaust
usual stuff
gonna try and get 10psi into the stock motor

Whats the setups on the 2 holden v8's that you are tuning mate?

one is a bog stock VR 304 Manual with log style turbo manifolds and a single T04Z, front mount ic, 60lb deka injectors, a nice big fuel pump and a surge tank.

other is a VN 304 into LX Torana conversion with T5, LSD borg Warner diff (thanks holden202 ) STA centrifucal blower (8psi), supercharger friendly cam, flat top pistons, port matched inlet manifolds, 60 lb deka injectors and a holley blue pump into a surge tank running twin VL turbo fuel pumps in parallel up to the engine.

the bog stock vr with to4z has got me drooling
seen a to4z on a vp clubsport make good power.

How long till you rekon that vr is finished of being tuned ?

i know Jayme was tuning these things on the weekend so give it a few more days he might be closer to having a tune ready!
