Understanding MAF Table Calculator?

Post by L67PSI »

Hi all,

I've almost reached the limit of the stock MAF hz on my VT L67 using the Enhanced Code. With 3.4" pulley & 1.9:1 rockers I'm seeing 9937hz @ 5500 rpm and Cylair of 843.

I'm wanting to swap to a LS2 Delphi MAF (I already have adapter harness) so I can continue with W2A intercooler and smaller pulley.

What I need help with is the MAF Table Calc - https://pcmhacking.net/forums/downl ... hp?id=6851

Where do I start? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you

Stock maf with enhanced and a genuine maf should go above 10khz - closer to 15khz. I can have a look at the spreadsheet when im on a pc later but someone else might be able to help in the meantime or might have a table that suits an ls2 maf to use as a starting point.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

I posted the data for a MAF from a VZ LS1 in immortality's thread a while ago. I'm pretty sure they're the same 5 wire 90mm.

Stock MAF is good for 10082hz I believe although mine is reading 10200hz but I've reduced my red line until I fit my new valve spring and the MAF mentioned above.

Yes it's a 5 wire 90mm MAF. Delphi #25168491. I thought this came from the VZ HSV range with the LS2 6.0L.

I had a look through immortality's post, was this the data you posted? viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5096&hilit=VZ+LS1+ ... 240#p77013+

Swap the MAF over, retune base injector rate to bring fueling back into range and retweak fueling via Injector Multiplier table, that's it really.

No need to fiddle with MAF tables, your just creating extra work for yourself for no gain in the end, the MAF tables after stock in enhanced i have continued as linear. Even GM Figures for the MAF's between vehicle models change, they do this as they are measuring the real G/S that the particular intake flows with that MAF installed. Your changing all this anyway so the figures will still be wrong. At the end of the day the figures dont mean alot, higher MAF G/S = higher injector pulse and Lower MAF G/S = Lower Injector Pulse. More fuel or less fuel so changing the MAF tables will only mean you have to compensate in your injector multiplier tables anyway.

Thanks for explaining things, the spreadsheet had me confused.

Would some data logs help get the fueling back in line? Or too risky to drive and make some changes / estimates first?

Thanks

Tuned mine on the v6 maf tables then changed them over and the car did run better.
Did need a few changes to the fueling
