Bin for L67/Getrag combo with idle issues

Post by GmanVS »

Hi guys, I've transplanted a stock L67 and a Getrag into a VS that was an ecotec/4L60E. The idle is unstable and there are no vacuum leaks that I could detect. From my reading here and elsewhere, it seems to have something to do with spark timing during idle not being right for the manual gearbox. Assuming this is correct, would it be a really bad idea to use the Getrag's ECU (Service No 16199728 and the BZPT bin) and simply change the injector flow rate to match the L67's bigger injectors? I realise there are other differences in the timing maps, the purpose of trying this is to determine if the idle issues can be sorted before getting the rest of the maps into shape.

Have you changed the bin you are using to manual getrag?

I would start with The1's enhanced VS L67 bin and then copy the manual idle table and settings into that from a VS manual getrag bin.
