what chips are you using 29C256 or 27SF512 electronic erase or UV erase 27C256 etc.i dont even blank check nowdays just give the uv erase ones 5-6 mins in the eraser and burn them.is it saying that the chip and buffer dont match at a certian location in red down the bottom when you goto burn the eprom.is it a brandnew eprom too cause i just got a heap of new ones and they must be coated on the legs with something and dont burn without scraping the sides of the legs that touch the ZIF in the willem first with a knife to remove whatever is on the legs
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Looks like either your chip is not erase properly or is dead, or your adapter has a short or no-connection somewhere. Ive seen similar results a few times doing the same thing with an adaptor and double checking the connections everywhere found a fault each time. In my case mostly over heated chips dropping lines between the IC and the chip legs, or a data or address line not making connection. Get a multimeter and check continuity from each leg on the chip to the leg on the end of your adapter. At the same time check non-continuity to the next leg along (no shorts). good luck!
