Mucho richo at WOT

Post by monaro308 »

Hi all back again ....(haven't been anywhere) i dusted off the munro on the weekend and had a play with VL400's OSE$12S
and noticed on WOT runs that my WB hitting 9.5-9.0 AFR and pretty much not revving past 4500rpm.
As i'm running my own efi setup ie..red 308 ...082 ECU $12 etc etc.
i never got into tuning the AE parameters on the original $12 BLCF bin.
With VL's OSE $12S....whats the best steps in tuning the AE parameters to lean it off?
Car runs, starts, drives fine, accelerates fine but its when you do the WOT runs, this is where its no good. (rich)
I thought it was time to give the munro attention after being a lazy bugger all year with it.

Cheers...all

i don't think its AE thats your problem, its more likely the VE's.... if it was AE i think you'd see a rich/lean spike when you stand on it then it would go back to where it should be (as per VE's)

what were you running in it before ?

i'd be comparing the previous files VE's in the 90-100kpa area where your having the problems, and also check how the AFR table in the old bin compares to the table in $12S

i guess if its the VE's that are the issue then your looking at needing a figure of around 75% of what its on now ....

timing might also play a part in the issue but i don't think it would make it anywhere near that rich .....

Hi holden202, i have been running the BLCF5084 .I'm using efi-live to data log and notice the inj time hitting around 9.0ms at around 90+ kpa during a WOT run.
I don't know what others are seeing at WOT during datalogging but i will have a play with VE high maps @90-100 scales and see how i go.
I'll keep you posted.
Thanks

Thanks for that holden202....mine does sound like a VE issue.
I'll have a play with the 90-100 maps and see how it goes and let you know.
With the hoon laws these days, just letting loose gets tough around here and i have to find an industrial area to test.
cheers.....

yeah i hear ya ... i have a few 100km ruralish areas not far from me so i've made a nice big 10km loop from my place out there and i can stop and tromp it to 100 (or more) and don't have to stress about locals dobbing me in!
